Net Neutrality brings out some of the Web's star weirdos

Sweater Lady Leslie Hall is letting her freak flag fly once again, this time in support of net neutrality.

WeAreTheWeb.org has recruited help from Internet Celebrities such as “The Tron Guy”, “Leslie Hall” and “Peter Pan”, each have become famous and built followings using the Internet. “We connected with people and built followings through the Internet because it was unregulated and we could reach people directly even through we did not have corporate backing, the changes to the Internet currently being discussed would hurt that which in a way would undermine the soul of the Internet” said Internet celebrity and WeAreTheWeb.com supporter, Leslie Hall.

I have to say, I think they... (Below threshold)

I have to say, I think they're missing the point. ISPs aren't stupid--they want to make money. In order to make money, they need subscribers. Subscribers aren't going to pay for a service that doesn't provide what they want. Subscribers do not want an internet where some sites are blocked or slowed down, and as a result, ISPs will not block or slow down access to websites.
